The next week will be a big one for lung health and patient advocacy, as we will gather the #EFACommunity of members at the European Parliament to advocate for action on lung health in Europe.
On 4 February, alongside sister European-level healthcare professionals and patient associations, we will take part in the ceremony organised by Lungs Europe to reinstall the Members of the European Parliament (MEP) Lung Health Group and support policies to #KeepBreathing in Europe. On 5 February, EFA will hold “Raising the Standards of Care for COPD in Europe,” a policy roundtable with three MEPs to discuss better #COPDStandardsofCare across Europe to #KeepBreathing.
Beyond lung health, EFA and GA²LEN have launched a new joint action plan: “Towards a Common Approach for Managing Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis at School.” Co-authored by EFA’s food allergy community, this initiative outlines four key steps to improve safety for children at risk of anaphylaxis in schools.
We look forward to an impactful month ahead, see you in Brussels!
