The European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations (EFA) is pleased to invite you to the “Raising the standards of care for COPD in Europe” event, taking place on 5 February 2025 at the European Parliament (Room Spaak (PHS) 4B1) in Brussels, Belgium.

Lung health is at a critical juncture, with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) representing one of the most significant challenges in public health. Unlike other major chronic diseases (e.g., heart diseases and diabetes) and cancer, COPD remains shockingly underrecognized by both the public and policymakers.

Following the publication of the 2024 report “Raising the bar for better standards of care for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease”, this event will be an opportunity to reflect on the progress and challenges in COPD care and prevention. There will be a discussion on how to place COPD at the forefront of health agendas, to effectively address it as a crucial healthcare and sustainability issue.

In addition to the "Raising the standards of care for COPD in Europe” event, an exhibition with free lung function testing organised by Lungs Europe will take place on 4 and 5 February from 10:00 – 18:00 at the European Parliament, with an opening reception from 12:30 – 14:30 on 4 February. To participate in this part of the event please register here.

Registrations for in-person participation are closed, but you can still register for online participation until 3 February 2025.

You will find here the full list of speakers.
